Castolin 38240F is an unfluxed silver brazing alloy supplied as rods for metal joining. The 40% silver alloy melts at 640-700°C and is intended for copper, nickel and steel joints. It is cadmium-free and suited to strong capillary brazed connections.
Suitable for
Suitable for brazing tubes in refrigeration equipment, pipelines, fittings, and brass or bronze valves. It is also used for parts in food and medical equipment where resistance to seawater is required.
